North Macedonia To Return To Junior Eurovision

Broadcaster MRT has confirmed to Eurovoix that they will be taking part in this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest.


North Macedonia is returning to the contest having taken a year out due to COVID-19. MRT. They join TG4 of Ireland and RTP from Portugal in returning to the contest in 2021.Details regarding the selection process have yet to be revealed.

North Macedonia first took part in the contest in 2003, with Marija and Viktotija singing ‘Ti ne me poznavaš’. The country’s best placing was in 2007 when they came 5th with the song “Ding Ding Dong”, which you can see below:

Paris will host this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 19th December at La Seine Musicale. The following countries have so far confirmed their participation:

  • France

  • Georgia

  • Germany

  • Ireland

  • Netherlands

  • North Macedonia

  • Poland

  • Portugal – Simão Oliveira

  • Serbia

  • Spain

  • Russia

  • Ukraine

Mila Moskov was the last person to represent North Macedonia at Junior Eurovision, with the song ‘Fire’. You can see her performance below:
