Moments after it was announced that this year’s Contest is planned to be taking place in Poland’s Capital – Warsaw, on the 29th of November!

Martin Osterdahl, the new Executive Supervisor of Eurovision events, stated:

"I couldn’t be more excited to be working with the incredible team at TVP on my first Junior Eurovision Song Contest. They have the skills, creativity and enthusiasm to produce a fantastic show. It’s never been more important to recognise the power of young people to “Move The World” and I’m looking forward to seeing all the talented singers perform later this year."

The President of TVP, Poland’s national broadcaster, added:

"Big musical projects, such as the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, have great value, because they bring optimism and hope. The slogan of this year’s Junior Eurovision, ‘Move the World’, underlines the necessity of taking positive actions for the common good. One such action is the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. I am glad that TVP, after the success of last year’s edition, was chosen again as the host and organiser of this incredible musical event."

TVP and the EBU are closely monitoring the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the EBU promises to work with TVP and its other Members to ensure the continuity of the event in a number of different scenarios.
