The 2021 Eurovision Season Starts NOW!

By Ervin Juhász Last updated Sep 1, 2020

It’s the 1st of September, and you all know what that means – the new Eurovision season starts right now, and every song released from today onward is a potential Eurovision entry, and a potential winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021!

If you are a singer, a songwriter, producer, lyricist,… and your song gets released from today onward, it is also eligible to enter one of the many national selections the public broadcasters will be organizing, or to get selected internally by a national broadcaster. As the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest was cancelled, the 2021 season will be somewhat not typical, as we already have no less than 19 artists confirmed for next year’s contest. However for various of them, the national broadcasters are going to hold an open selection, whilst others (such as Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Cyprus, Croatia, Lithuania to name a few) already confirmed that they won’t keep their selected acts from 2020, and will go for a whole new entry for 2021, and most of these will have a new national selection organised.

The 2021 Eurovision Song Contest is going to be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on the 18th, 20th and the 22nd of May, and the EBU will announce the full list of participating countries for next year’s Contest in a couple of weeks time.

Stay tuned to EuroStarz and ESCBubble for more news to come soon. In the meanwhile, give a listen to the winner of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest – “Arcade” by Duncan Laurence.
