Ray Caruana: “I Could Relate To..Tix..My Son Has The Same Disability”
This August saw the return of the amazing EuroStarz event in London, and as the official media partner for the event this week we are bringing you interviews with all of the participants.
Ray Caruana represented the United Kingdom in Lausanne at the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest, as part of his band Live Report. After winning UK national selection ‘A Song For Europe’ with over double the votes of second place, “Why Do I Always Get It Wrong?” went on to finish second to Yugoslavia at the song contest. He later tried to perform for Malta in 1994 however placed second in their selection show with “Scarlet Song”.
Ray didn’t hold back in his interview with ESCBubble’s Matt where he discussed his views on the 1989 winning song ‘Rock Me’, how he was probably viewed as a loose cannon by the BBC and his love for a particular 2021 Eurovision act!
Check back with ESCBubble all week as they have some amazing interviews with the other performing acts Eye Cue, Michael Rice and Niamh Kavanagh. You can also check out our interview with the lovely Nicki French here.
