Making it bigger than us, it's Michael Rice!
No stranger to TV talent shows, Michael participated in series 11 of ITV’s “The X Factor”, BBC1’s “All Together Now” in 2018, and then went onto win “Eurovision: You Decide” in 2019 and his ticket to Tel-Aviv with the power ballad “Bigger Than Us”, which was co-written by John Lundvik, the contestant for Sweden that same year (2019)!
He came to the attention of the public after a busking video of him amassed over a quarter of a million views, which in turn persuaded him to audition and ultimately win the first series “All Together Now”, a show that one of our other EuroStarz artists, Lindsay Dracass has also featured on!
Michael is a big fan of Eurovision and believes it’s a brilliant platform for countries to showcase their music. A couple of his favourite winners include Salvador Sobral and Måns Zelmerlöw.
An advocate for anti-bullying, he recorded a single entitled “Bruised”, and has visited schools in the UK to speak on the subject.
